  • Friday, November 8, 2024

As part of a global pricing review, Microsoft has recently announced several price increases for its SPLA (Service Provider License Agreement) offerings. This change, effective shortly, impacts various Microsoft products and services frequently used by businesses and service providers. Here’s a closer look at the adjustments and what they mean for BaCloud customers.

Key Price Increases Across Microsoft SPLA Products

Starting with the updated pricing structure, Microsoft SPLA customers will see the following adjustments:

  • Active Directory Right Management Services SAL: +10%
  • Windows Server (Datacenter and Standard): +10%
  • System Center: +10%
  • Core Infrastructure Server (CIS) Suite: +10%
  • Office Suites and Multi Language Pack: +10%
  • Dynamics 365 (Customer Service, Sales, etc.): +11%
    • Team Members pricing remains unchanged
  • Dynamics GP, Dynamics NAV, Dynamics SL: +11%
  • Dynamics AX: +17%

How This Affects BaCloud Customers

BaCloud strives to maintain transparency and minimize client disruptions when external price changes occur. In light of the Microsoft SPLA pricing adjustments, we will update our pricing structure for specific licenses that directly impact our service offerings.

Affected Products for BaCloud Customers:

  • Windows Server Standard and Datacenter Licenses: These licenses, crucial for our Windows dedicated servers and Virtual dedicated servers (VDS), will see a 10% price increase.
  • Office Packages: The Office suite, essential for productivity services, will also reflect a 10% price increase.

These adjustments are specific to BaCloud customers utilizing these licenses. All other license categories not directly associated with our core services will remain unaffected by this change.

Understanding the SPLA Price Increase Impact

While price increases can be challenging, they also reflect the growing investments Microsoft is making to improve service capabilities, enhance security features, and expand functionality. The SPLA licensing model remains a robust choice for businesses needing flexibility in licensing across complex environments.
