Dear Customer,
We'd like to let you know about an essential regulatory requirement that will affect your virtual server(s) hosted with Bacloud in our Netherlands-based infrastructure.
According to the Dutch Recognized Energy Saving Measures (EML) list, specifically measure FI2, all servers must have automated energy-saving settings enabled by July 1, 2025.
To comply with this regulation, we will be enabling the required energy-saving features across all shared infrastructure. As a result, your virtual server(s) or hosting service will be restarted during this process.
Why this matters:
This measure is a legal obligation under Dutch environmental law and applies to all servers hosted in data centers operating in the Netherlands. Failure to comply may result in regulatory penalties or inspections.
What will happen:
You don't need to take any action. However, we recommend that you ensure your services are set up to restart automatically in the event of a reboot.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
