Bacloud is updating the naming convention for its Bare Metal server plans as part of an ongoing effort to standardize product naming across the platform and improve long-term clarity.
This update affects Bare Metal server names only. There are no changes to hardware specifications, performance, pricing, IP addresses, operating systems, or existing configurations. All current Bare Metal servers will continue to operate normally, and no customer action is required.
The previous instance-style names are being replaced with a unified format that better reflects server class and intended use. The following table shows the full mapping of old and new plan names:
| Old Name | New Name |
|---|---|
| d1.xlarge | IX017.CORE |
| d1.18xlarge | IX017.DENSE |
| m1.xlarge | IE014.CORE |
| m2.xlarge | IE023.CORE |
| m2.2xlarge | IE023.PLUS |
| m3.2xlarge | IE031.CORE |
| i2.4xlarge | AR062.CORE |
| i3.4xlarge | AR056.CORE |
| i3n.4xlarge | AR065.CORE |
| AE097.16G4L | AE097.CORE |
The new names will gradually appear in the client area, billing documents, and technical references. Existing services are not being migrated or modified in any way.
This change supports future Bare Metal expansions while keeping the platform consistent and easier to navigate.
